DJ Sue
Welcome to my blog. I’m a DJ in Second Life and I find myself discussing the music I’m playing with many of those in attendance at my shows. Unfortunately, when I am busy DJing, I can’t participate and discuss the music as fully as I would like. I’m hoping this blog can help change that. Look here before my set to see if I might be playing something interesting today or maybe after to see if discussion on a topic might continue. You are invited to join in the conversation and leave comments.

Hey Man! Is That Freedom Rock?

The commercial linked above came out in 1987.  In the 80’s we were already remembering the 60’s and record commercials like this one were rather common.  But this one struck a nerve and I remember people hearing on the radio one of the songs featured on the commercial and they would remark, “Hey man!  Is that Freedom Rock?  Well turn it up, man.”

I don’t know why I’ve been thinking of this commercial lately.  Maybe it was a song I heard at one of Maya’s sets that shook loose the memory, but in order to get it out of my system, I decided to turn the commercial into a set.  I can take the songs in the order in which they scrolled on the screen and make a set list.   The set list is about two hours and twenty minutes long.

But wait!  There’s more!

If you tune into my Freedom Rock set this coming Monday night (Sept. 19) I’ll include an additional 40 minutes of Freedom Rock music to round things out to an even three hours.  It’s like they included a fifth Bonus LP with the set.  This LP includes those songs that DJ Sue would have added to the records and tapes to finish the collection.  I will play those during the final 40 minutes.  My additional 40 minutes will conform to the sound and feel of the original collection.

If you are not completely satisfied with the set, you may return it for a complete refund, but keep the DJ Sue Bonus LP as our free gift to you for trying it out.  Here’s how to order…

Come on over to AWT this Monday night, September 19, at 6 PM (an hour early).  Quantities are limited, so call now.
